    ps i love leather! and for anyone that is against it consider this, would you rather where poisonous synthetic material? man made synthetic shoes are horrible for your feet.. leather all the way baby, we can’t lose our minds over this stuff.. consider this, part of the issue with meat is we no longer hunt in nature.. the animals eating from mother earth are healthy.. :)

    much wisdom in eating a pure diet.. been exploring myself for many years on healthy lifestyle..

    to me, it’s the way to be. finding our way back to ourselves is not possible if we fill our temple with crap.. period, no getting around that. in my honest opinion.

    I have never fasted before, but being a vegan, I am sometimes forced to not eat if there are no good food options for me. The intense hunger makes me feel like I am strung out from not eating… I even notice that I start to make rash decisions, and loose my patients, especially while working. Do these feelings go away when you fast?

    This makes so much since! We are starving ourselves of nutrients and that’s why we eat so much food!

    Less then a yr ago I came to the conclusion that most people who over eat are eating like a 4 yr old. We leave our parents and go off to college and we can eat whatever we want. We gain weight and abuse ourselves through food.

    I’m on the raw food diet! Today is day 8 (it’s 1 am). I’m definitely detoxing. My toungue is kinda whitish which has happened to me on fasts. At any rate, it’s pretty fun! It’s HARD, but I attribute that to me trying to do complicated recipes. I hope to eventually get the hang of it.

    Other solution would be for each of us to grow at least 1 fruit tree if we have the space. To save and share heirloom seeds and also to randomly throw some fruits seeds around if you know what I mean.

    i need some more ideas for raw foods to eat… i eat sumthin raw everyday but i just dont know enough simple raw food ideas that i can make throughout the day… anyone any ideas please? peace

    and converts what you eat into fat where it can be burnt off as slowly as possible in prep for what it perceives to be the next potential famine.. Not helpful to an overweight person! :-) I used to carry a lot more weight than I do now, because of alternation between binge eating and eating nothing., Now I’m slim and trim, and eat more than before. Those diet clubs mislead people for profit.

    I think a common misconception is that if you eat more, you will be full longer. This is just not the case. If you eat too much, you feel lazy, and your body quickly transports all that extra glucose that enters the blood to be stored as fat. Also, not eating enough can slow your metabolism. Many people try going hungry for long periods, your body then goes into “famine mode” regardless of your weight – and when you do eventually decide to eat, your body tells you to gorge

    The reason people are so obsessed is due to the spikes and fluctuations in blood sugar – the body has a threshold for glucose, so the more you eat the quicker you get hungry. The solution to this is smaller low glycemic meals, more frequently if necessary. Sugar and breads, as you say are high GI and depress the nervous system. They make me slobby as anything, thankfully I can’t eat them.

    Yeah detox is really hard to get through!! I found fruit made me feel better, cause I did a low carb detox – Candida cleanse. I’ve never felt so shitty in my life.
