this is totally true. a pear has about 60 calories, so if I wanted to gain weight from just eating pears, I would have to eat about 60-70 of them every day. no one can handle that much volume. and green leafy sallads have about 1 calorie for every hundred grams! discounting the fiber which we don’t digest anyway

It’s called consistent, hard work. Something MOST weight lifters are not familiar with. You can check out a picture of me on my main You Tube page.

Fruits might be high in sugar but they are low in calories and have a good source of nutrients so…
So getting a belly is probably from other high calorie foods which is not used.

What? Where did you read this? If you boil veggies the fiber soften and half of it may dissaper into the water but staeming or stir-frying is still fine.
Also sugar IS a carbohydrate the diffrence lays in the length of the carbohydrate sugar like lactose of fructose are short and therefore dont need much time to digest giving a sugar rush longer carbs like those in potato takes more time providing less sugar over longer periods even longer carbohydrates cellulose, fiber, we can’t digest.

You don’t have to believe me if you don’t want to… keep going on eating fruit then and thinking they’re just like veggies!! As for cooking veggies: cooking veggies breaks down the firm fiber (roughage) of the veggies making it have a higher sugar content and allowing it to be turned into sugar and carbohydrate more readily and quickly in your body (and digest it more quickly).

“fruits have a lot of sugar and most vegetables, especially fresh, uncooked ones, don’t. ” LOL cooking veggies only destroys nutrients it doesnt add calories to it! Besides fruits are still low in calories even with fructose.

Veggies yes, but the fruit part I disagree with. Eating anymore than one fruit a day can give you a gut roll similar to that of a beer belly. Fruits and vegetables are not very similar because fruits have a lot of sugar and most vegetables, especially fresh, uncooked ones, don’t.

Must not forget that the fiber helps you lose weight. It aids in digestion too.

You are burning fat BUT you would burn more if you had a little something to eat. This would give you more energy to exercise either longer or harder AND your body needs some sugar to burn fats effectively.
