All I have seen are good reviews here & there. I’m a little skeptical about things, especially when it comes to trying new things. I want to lose weight and it’s supposed to give you energy and cleanse your body. I want to know the ‘real deal’ on this product. Thanks for your opinions!

Based on my own misfortune, I am on a mission to warn people about acai SCAMS online. One scam is Acai Berry Supreme. They promised me a free bottle and I would only have to pay shipping. I noticed an additional $29.95 added to my credit card from that company and had to complain to the company to get a refund. Then they started shipping me more bottles and trying to charge me for them.
Another scam is Acai Berry Power 500, which also offered a free trial bottle. They then started mailing me additional bottles of acai without my permission. Again, I had to complain to the company to get credit card charges removed.
Also beware of people trying to sell you acai products on YA. Be cautious about people warning you of scams and then directing you to their website to buy their acai products.
If you are still interested in acai, your best bet is to go to almost any health food or vitamin store and buy acai directly. I have NO financial ties to Sambazon, but they are the most well-known and reputable companies selling acai.
Please note that acai is NOT a weight loss product.
I CANNOT offer you any guarantees, but what helped me lose about 20 pounds in 3 months is an old, very inexpensive natural remedy that might sound strange to you. Put 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (ACV) and 1 tablespoon of honey in 8 ounces of warm water and drink this mixture. Do this two (or possibly three) times a day. It may take a while to get used to the taste. If you really don‘t like the taste, add extra honey.
Use Bragg’s ACV or other brands from a health food store, not stuff you buy in a regular grocery store. Also avoid the ACV capsules sold in grocery stories and drug stores. They are a waste of money. As I said, the ACV did work for me. For the 3 to 4 weeks, I don’t think I lost an ounce, but maybe my metabolism was speeding up. In the second and third month, the weight started to come off.
ACV has been used for hundreds of years for a variety of health issues, so this is not the latest fad diet. If you want more info, google “apple cider vinegar health benefits.”
Nope don’t do it. waste of money. Acai berry has been getting a bad rap. I would go with your instincts. If it sounds too good to be true it usually isn’t. I am all for natural, but some of these products that claim these things just don’t work.
You need to be losing weight the old fashioned weight and that is watching your calories and eating nutritious orgnaic low fat foods, getting out and getting that heart pumping to burn off calories- walking is the best exercise, getting rid of the stressers in your life, relaxing by yourself, taking time out for yourself.
As far as I can tell, there are no proven weight loss benefits from the acai berry, juice, or capsules.
It does seem to be a great supplement (I take it, but don’t sell the stuff!) and is full of anti oxidents, which help prevent damage to your body. But that’s what you should take it for, not weight loss or fat burning.
The acai berry itself is an amazing thing – has a lot of anti oxidents etc and is really good for you.
But there’s nothing really to suggest in scientific terms that it helps with weight loss.
And there are a lot of scams out there, be careful where you buy it from!
I take it, and I think I feel healthier and better. But it’s not some type of magic formula, sorry.
You can buy it in different forms – juice, capsules, etc. Or as a powder which you can add to other juices or smoothies.
You can buy it online, but be careful. Lots of sites selling it have a “free offer” thing, but to get it you have to sign up to a programme which sends you the stuff every month and bills you huge sums of money. Personally, I wouldn’t buy from a website which is a company I’ve never heard of, there are too many scam artists in the business. If you are looking on-line, personally I’d go for a company which sells more than just one thing, and has a range of supplements or juices, they are more likely to be in it for the long term and not ripping you off.
You can also buy it in local health food shops, do a search for ones near you. I’ve bought it from Amazon, and from Holland and Barrett, which is a UK health food shop.
Shan, acai berry actually works. My girlfriend lost 18 lbs in one month (January) and she is so hot now
, but you need to avoid scams. As far as know, fake products have very dangerous effects on your body health. Also there are some people who are saying that acai products doesn’t work, I think it’s because they’ve used fake acai berry products. Read the blog below, it helped us a lot to find a real & natural acai product: http://acaiberryscams.wordpress.com/2008/12/23/ive-tested-6-acay-berry-products-and-here-are-scams/
Hope this helps
The popularity of Acai Berry is increasing due to the many high profile stars in Hollywood. Celebrities are now using acai berry to help with their weight loss and also increase there energy levels. As an added bonus, acai berry is also known to rejuvenate the skin as a skin antioxidant, which helps have healthier looking skin.
BEWARE!!!
I ordered Nature’s Best-Acai Berry “free trial” for 4.99. I received the bottle yesterday. Today, an unauthorized charge for $79.96 was placed on my account. Do Not buy this product. I called the 800 #. I was speaking to someone in Southeast Asia, who said he couldn’t refund the charge. I called back and spoke to someone else (in southeast Asia) also and she claims to have refunded the charge. Will see if that happens. This is a total scam.
